Overview

The College of Engineering and Technology is comprised of the Departments of Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, and Technology Systems.

Faculty and staff in the College provide high-quality graduate and undergraduate degree opportunities and research and service programs that enable students to achieve their career goals and that promote a strong, sustainable future for our region.

Job Duties The Department of Construction Management in the College of Engineering and Technology seeks a full-time Teaching Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor on a 9-month appointment to teach and advise students beginning in August .

This is a fixed term position which is annually renewed based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.

The successful candidate will be responsible to develop and maintain curriculum in Construction Management, mentor/advise students, perform service functions, and articulate with construction industry representatives, and have the ability and desire to work in a team setting and make positive contributions to the Department.

Service to the university, community, and profession is expected.

The Department of Construction Management currently has 15 full-time faculty members serving approximately students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.

Contingent upon available funding.

Minimum Education/Experience Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

All degrees must be conferred by accredited institutions.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education A combination of teaching and relevant industry professional experience at the project management level (preferably in the United States) of at least five years is preferred.

Preference will be given to applicants who can teach undergraduate courses in BIM, Surveying, Residential Construction, Contract, Equipment Management, Scheduling, Estimating, Cost Control, Mechanical, and Electrical and Plumbing Systems (MEP).

Applicants holding a Ph.D. degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field able to teach graduate courses will be preferably considered.

The candidate of choice will also be required to submit an original official transcript.
