Job Title: Team Member (Heavy Lifting/Downsizing Assistance)

Job Description:
We are seeking strong, dependable team members to join our Caring Transitions franchise, where we assist seniors and families with the downsizing and relocation process.

This role involves moving furniture and heavy items inside homes during cleanouts and downsizing projects, with each team member responsible for their own specific area of work.

While we contract with professional moving companies for transportation, our team provides crucial on-site support by packing, organizing, and carefully moving items to prepare homes for relocation or estate sales.

You will be working independently in designated rooms or areas but will have a team lead on-site for guidance as needed.

Responsibilities:

    •    Move and organize heavy items and furniture during home cleanouts and downsizing.
    •    Work independently in assigned areas, ensuring tasks are completed within the given time frame.
    •    Pack, organize, and sort household items with care and attention to detail.
    •    Communicate effectively with the team and clients to meet expectations.
    •    Ensure all tasks are completed without needing constant supervision, though guidance from the team lead will be available.
    •    Treat clients’ homes and belongings with respect and sensitivity, especially when handling fragile or   sentimental items.

Requirements:

    •    Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and items.
    •    Ability to work independently and efficiently without needing continuous oversight.
    •    Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed in the allotted time.
    •    Compassionate and patient demeanor, particularly when interacting with seniors and their families.
    •    Team-oriented with good communication skills.
    •    Prior experience in moving, downsizing, or related fields is a plus but not required.
