Technical Product Manager, AWS Job Opening In Seattle – Now Hiring Amazon

Then you should join the AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) Sales Planning Tools team.

We provide the services, technology, and data to support the rapidly growing world-wide AWS Sales organization.

This includes finding inventive ways to scale the business, which will be critical for AWS to continue its strong growth.

Our team manages a portfolio of complex, high-impact, and intelligent planning tools, with an exciting multi-year product roadmap.

These are global, enterprise grade web applications that are early and mid-stage in their lifecycle, and include both 1P and 3P products.

Our team is seeking a talented, innovative Product Manager with exceptional invent and simplify skillset, problem solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the ability to translate customers and business needs into inventive software solutions.

You will be responsible for onboarding the AWS Partner Organization to AWS Sales Planning, specifically owning Parter Sales Hierarchy and Territory Planning.

This entails designing and delivering a global, enterprise grade web-based sales planning application to be used by the Partner organization for Partner Planning.

The AWS Partner Organization is a rapidly growing business, and you will stand to deliver transformational value across the worldwide AWS Sales organization.

You will work with a dedicated engineering pod; our product team works with a 70 person, and growing, engineering team.

You will define the product strategy and roadmap, including the delivery of automation and intelligent recommendations to drive a more efficient and effective Partner Sales Planning.

You will be responsible for roadmap development, product requirements management, stakeholder and customer engagement, leadership reviews, user testing, and launch strategy and execution.

You will partner with engineering, global sales customers, a data science team, and other application owners across the SMGS organization.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop product strategy and product definition.
• Define and manage two year product roadmap, including introduction of AI/ML to transform AWS planning.
• Capture, document, and communicate business and technical product requirements.
• Translate requirements into features and user stories.

Drive technical team understanding of requirements.
• Manage technical build against business requirements.

Provide thought leadership with engineering on implementation.
• Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders from Global AWS Sales and Sales Operations teams and other System and Application teams across WWRO.
• Lead document development for leadership reviews.
• Own project status updates to customers, stakeholders, and leadership.
• Plan and conduct user testing.
• Drive change management and adoption of solution across AWS Sales and Sales Operations
• Manage post-launch activities (user support, new feature development, etc.)
• Establish KPIs, identify gaps, and improve performance and adoption of the platform.
• Deep dive problems or opportunity areas and propose solutions to address.
• Generate new ideas to drive improvement, efficiency and automation across AWS Sales that will enable AWS to scale and grow.

• Design new products and capabilities that enable business users to operate more effectively, intelligently, and efficiently.
• Engage with systems that are at the forefront of technology, pioneering new methods and approaches to delivering software, serving customers, and enabling large, distributed, worldwide sales teams.
• Work closely with engineering and other technical product/program managers to define, build, drive and measure mechanisms to enable our field sales teams
• Leverage strong communication skills and a passion for using data and software to drive business decisions at scale

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature priotization and product roadmap tradeoffs
- Experience in customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services
- 3+ years of experience in product or technical product management
- Prior experience working across functional/organizational boundaries
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or Advanced degree
- Experience coordinating complex products with stringent technical requirements, development cycles and schedules
- Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Comfort with ambiguity; demonstrated track record of independently developing creative solutions to problems
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts and manage tradeoffs
- Experience in a startup or enterprise software environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,100/year in our highest geographic market.
