Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network.
Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to oversee and drive the advancement of our manufacturing automation SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) program.
This platform and suite of applications integrate hardware and software solutions to automate key processes in our satellite production operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the program's roadmap, coordinating cross-functional teams, and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
This is a highly collaborative position that interfaces with Project Kuiper production, engineering, and IT infrastructure teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage schedule, resourcing, and priorities for the Kuiper Manufacturing SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) product.
- Apply Agile methods to manage the project scope and cadence.
- Produce and communicate metrics to measure system development project outcomes.
- Assist in driving root cause and corrective action for automation and controls issues.
- Work directly with manufacturing and operation teams for inquiry on priorities, issue investigation, commissioning and demo activities.
- Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

About the team
The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) team is responsible for designing and commissioning automation and tooling for Satellite testing and production.
This in-house team of engineers and support technicians work directly with satellite designers, testers, and manufacturing engineers to solve unique problems in high-volume satellite production.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Experience managing projects within an active production manufacturing operation.
