Technical Sales Engineer

ARC Technologies LLC, a Hexcel company, is the leading manufacturer of Radio Frequency (RF) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) absorbing materials for defense and wireless applications worldwide and part of Hexcel, a global leader in advanced composites technology.

Hexcel is currently seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for our Amesbury, MA, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Increase technical sales through existing customers as well as generate new business opportunities
  • Quote, negotiate, and close Long-Term Agreements and Master Purchase Orders
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with customers, liaisons between internal customers and external customers understanding technical needs and requirements
  • Oversee order entries, tracking schedules, and shipments
  • Determine price schedules and rates
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Handles basic program management tasks including customer interface, scheduling, tracking, quoting, and recording for our customer’s programs
  • Willing to travel upwards of 25%
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; STEM degrees preferred, 1+ years of selling experience preferred; open to new graduates as well
  • Strong communication skills, ability to develop and maintain high-level relationships
  • Must have a hands-on, team player attitude with a self-driven work ethic, drive to create and achieve sales forecasts
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • The capability to communicate technical needs from customers to internal engineering staff
  • Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to identify, define, document and manage customer expectations and be responsible for all customer communication from quotation to product shipment
  • Competency for sales order process as it relates to customer specifications and change requirements, and ability work closely with operations to ensure timely implementation of production schedules
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • All candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
  • This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. government contract regulations that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.
