Responsibilities
The Technical Writer will be part of a team that will serve as the PMO for ICE Portal and the Check-In App in coordination between OCIO and ERO (specifically those focused on management of the non-detained docket).
The overall Tech Capabilities PMO team will focus on the following functions:
Designing and developing the business strategy, structure, processes, and measures of success Communicating digestible materials to executive stakeholders and Congress that clearly outline the need for and eventual impact of each product, leading to additional executive sponsorship and funding support Advising our clients on how to tailor the acquisition process, developing acquisition artifacts and materials for Acquisition Decision Event (ADE) gate reviews, and managing program financials The initial focus of Tech Capabilities PMO is more focused on the business strategy and not on guiding ICE Portal through the Acquisition process. Demonstrated experience building and developing key acquisition artifacts, such as an Acquisition Program Baseline (APB), Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Consolidated Operational Requirements Document (CORD), and/or Life Cycle Cost Estimate (LCCE)
Qualifications
As a Technical Writer, you should possess the following experience/skills:
At least two (2) years of practical experience in a technical writing role. At least two (2) years experience providing consulting services to the US Federal Government.
Preferrably DHS ICE Highly proficient with Jira, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with basic data and technology terminology. Demonstrated business acumen and teaching skills. Superior writing and presentation skills. Ability to quickly familiarize with new software applications and features. Must have critical thinking skills and the ability to research and analyze data and information to solve problems and articulate solutions. Education:
Bachelor's degree in related disciplines such as Technical Writing, Business Admin, or Information Technology.
Associates degree plus 4 years experience in lieu of degree 6 or more years of experience is acceptable. Security Clearance:
Must be US Citizen clearable to a high risk public trust.
Current DHS High Risk Tier 4 Public Trust or CBP clearance preferred.
