Overview
As a D472 Senior Test Engineer, you will support the Navy Maintenance and Material Management (3M) Program and contribute to the development, engineering, and coordination of the S8G Prototype specific Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).
In this role, you will serve as the 3M/Periodic Maintenance Requirement (PMR) Coordinator, working with the S8G Prototype Maintenance Staff to provide 3M System program administration duties including:
Establishing a class maintenance plan for Intermediate and Depot level maintenanceMaintaining the Organizational level maintenance planIssuing and tracking 3M technical feedback reports (TFBR) to the NAVSEA Logistics Center (NLSC)Implementing Force Revisions resulting from TFBRsWorking with the S8G Prototype Maintenance Staff to ensure the work centers are compliant with 3M Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) standardsDeveloping and providing training to the S8G Prototype Navy and Maintenance Staff on 3M/PMR System administrationAssisting the S8G Prototype Maintenance Staff with maintenance planning, scheduling and other maintenance report submittals for availability work periodsActing as a key coordinator between multiple agencies, to include Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), the Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) Activity, and Naval Reactors (NR)
The position is located at the Naval Propulsion Training Unit at the Kesselring Site in West Milton, NY.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED5+ years of US Navy experienceMust hold or be able to hold a DoD Secret Security Clearance and security access to the DOE Kesselring Site facilityPreferred
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or higherExperience working in a private or Naval ShipyardExperience as a Nuclear Leading Chief Petty OfficerExperience as a Submarine Engineering Department Master ChiefExperience as an instructor at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command or at a Naval Nuclear Power Training UnitSquadron Engineering experienceExperience as a Navy 3M Coordinator or knowledgeable of the Navy's 3M Preventive Maintenance ProgramExperience with US Submarine configuration management processesExperience in planned maintenance availability planningExperience with the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) functionality Skills
