Job Summary:
The Test Infrastructure and Automation Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the systems and tools used for software testing, automation, and monitoring within the organization.
This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and performance of platforms such as TestRail, Jira, Selenium Grid, ELK Stack, and Kafka.
The administrator collaborates with QA, DevOps, and IT teams to support the end-to-end testing lifecycle in a secure and optimized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Management Platforms
Administer Test Management Servers including TestRail and Jira Install, configure, and upgrade self-hosted instances of TestRail and Jira Ensure integration between TestRail and Jira for test case and defect management Monitor server health, performance, and storage utilization Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and outages Test Automation Infrastructure
Manage Selenium Grid infrastructure on both Windows and Linux systems Install and configure Selenium components, ensuring compatibility with browsers and drivers Monitor and optimize storage, memory, and CPU usage for automation servers Perform regular system upgrades and backups Support automation engineers with grid access and usage troubleshooting Log Gathering and Monitoring
Maintain ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Kafka environments Install, configure, and upgrade ELK and Kafka on Dockerized infrastructure Ensure real-time log collection, monitoring, and visualization capabilities Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to implement logging strategies Perform ongoing health checks, patch management, and performance tuning Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration Experience with TestRail, Jira, Selenium Grid, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Kafka Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments Working knowledge of scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) Ability to manage multiple systems and priorities simultaneously Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a K-12 education environment or public sector IT Knowledge of test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis best practices
