The New York Times is looking for a talented, ambitious and collaborative visual journalist to join the Investigations desk.
Visual storytelling has been an important part of high-profile investigations in recent years, including stories about online dangers to children, police traffic stops, cryptocurrency and the harvesting of sensitive location data.
You should demonstrate excellence in multimedia storytelling including conceiving, designing and developing interactive features, charts and maps.
You will also leverage new technologies to prototype and develop tools that assist with reporting.
You should integrate well into a team as there will be frequent, close collaboration with other reporters, editors and designers.
This is a hybrid position based in New York City and includes regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance.
This position is represented by the NewsGuild of NY.
The annual base pay range for this role is between $111,711.62 - $160,000 USD.
