Description:
Working environment is mostly outside in FRC.
Support, troubleshoot, install, and upgrade computer and network systems to maintain, repair and improve the system environment.
Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to repair or improve existing systems.
Interface with users and help desk to ensure adequate flow of information where it is needed to support our system environment.
Provide direct on-site support for escalated tickets.
Principle Accountabilities:
•Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
•Acts as primary contact for all application systems problems.
Analyzes and documents problem, recommends solution, initiates corrective actions.
Follows up on problem resolution and Informs clients of status.
• Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications
• Manage and maintain active directory structure
• Configure and administer network switches, routers, access control devices, and wireless and monitoring platforms
• Evaluate and deploy new services and functions as needed
• Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources
• Monitor and test phone system hardware and software
• Provide off-hours support while on call for emergency computer, network or phone issues
• Ensure onboarding procedures for new hires are completed in a timely manner, including automation, account creation, preparation of any hardware needs, and IT introductory training for new users
• Perform other related duties as assigned or needed
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience with hardware (laptops, tablets, printers, peripherals)
– Solid communication skills – written and verbal
– Understands working outside in Flame Resistant Clothing (FRC)
– Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
Preferred Qualification/Experience:
• In-depth knowledge of network principles and protocols
• Solid troubleshooting skills on Dell hardware
• Experience with Hybrid Active Directory
• Experience with Office 365
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and set priorities
• Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques
Company provides excellent and comprehensive training.
This position will be fully onsite, Monday – Friday in Port Neches, TX.
