  2. Source “wow” visuals from a variety of sources that clarify abstract concepts and inspire laughter, curiosity, creativity, and engagement
  3. Ideate on concepts that illustrate the learning goals in partnership with a Scriptwriter/Activity Developer, and iterate rapidly throughout the lesson development process, ensuring proper incorporation of feedback

Video Editing & Production

  2. Design student worksheets to optimize clarity and learning objectives
  3. Film hands-on activities such as worksheet demos or booklet assembly as needed
  4. Experiment with new approaches to building engaging lessons and driving continuous improvement for existing formats and workflows

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Brainstorm and collaborate with instructional designers, editors, and developers
  2. Give and receive feedback constructively on lessons as part of an iterative, fast-moving creative team
  3. Help refine and scale lesson templates to support product expansion

Core Competencies for Success:

  • Visual storytelling and design for learning
  • Curiosity and empathy for elementary-aged learners, with prior experience as a classroom teacher, a camp counselor, or other interactive environment
  • Situational adaptability with a resilient and growth mindset
  • Strong sense of humor and creative playfulness
  • Visual research and asset sourcing with licensing awareness
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to adjust the level of polish to produce videos efficiently
  • Strong desire to work on a collaborative team and partner closely with cross-functional groups

Credentials and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in video editing or related creative field
  • Demonstrated track record of at least 3 years effectively leveraging advanced communication and time management skills to navigate high-volume, deadline-driven environments—consistently balancing multiple priorities with precision and poise
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere; proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop with stellar video editing and animation skills
  • Experience working on educational content or with elementary-aged children preferred
  • Experience in constructively collaborating closely with scriptwriters and instructional teams
  • Experience doing visual research and pulling from multiple sources.

Basic knowledge of rights and clearances, and licensing requirements
