General Responsibilities:
Support and maintain applications, databases, and their underlying platforms (i.e., Windows, Linux) on classified and unclassified cloud environments. Install, maintain, configure, backup, troubleshoot and ensure security of virtual servers and applications for unclassified and classified operations supporting Agency foundational engineering services. Support the integration of tools into the Agency unclassified and classified environments. Responsible for monitoring and providing recommendations for capacity management, system utilization, storage planning, and database performance Responsible transitioning and maintaining OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AWS environment.Required Work Experience:
Working knowledge of Windows or Linux System administration, software installation and configuration, and system performance monitoring and tuning. Working knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Amazon Web Services, or similar cloud infrastructures and services. Support IT security activities including IAVA patches and provide/maintain documentation supporting Authorization to Test (ATT) and operate (ATO). Develop/maintain documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure Support regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures Support troubleshooting and ensure incidents are identified and resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptionsDesired Work Experience in Maintenance and Administration of:
IBM Doors Next Generation ServiceNow Microsoft Project Server JIRA application Working knowledge of Database administration (DB2, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.)Education/Certification Required
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience, Associate’s degree plus 4 years’ experience, or a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a relevant field.
