Job Title:



  • Training and Development Manager Classification: Exempt Department: Training and Development Reports to: Operations Manager Position: M-F Position Summary: The Training & Development Manager leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of company-wide training initiatives to ensure employees at all levels are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required to perform effectively.

  • This role partners with leadership and subject matter experts to assess learning needs, develop training programs, manage training systems, secure external funding opportunities, and drive a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining full compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Training Strategy & Planning  Develop and maintain the organization’s training and development strategy aligned with business goals.

  • Needs Assessment Conduct regular assessments of training needs across departments, using data from audits, performance reviews, and compliance requirements.
  • Program Design & Delivery Design, update, and deliver orientation, technical, compliance, leadership, and soft-skills training programs in multiple formats (classroom, e-learning, etc.) Learning Management System (LMS) Oversee the organization’s LMS, ensuring accurate course content, timely user enrollment, reporting, and system optimization.
  • Act as primary administrator and point of contact for LMS support.
  • Grant & Funding Management Research, write, and manage grants, subsidies, and training-aid opportunities to offset training costs.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting required by funding agencies.
  • Evaluation & Reporting Measure training effectiveness and learning outcomes; provide metrics and reports to leadership.
  • Compliance & Documentation Ensure all training materials, records, and processes comply with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards; maintain accurate training documentation for audits.
  • Team Development Coach and develop trainers, facilitators, and department training leads; oversee vendor relationships as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement Recommend and implement improvements to training content, delivery methods, and tracking systems.
  • Budget & Resources Manage the training budget, materials, learning technology platforms, and external funding sources.
  • Other Duties Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
  • Requires occasional physical activity throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Strategic thinking and planning Analytical and data-driven decision-making Grant writing and compliance reporting LMS administration and reporting Adaptability and continuous improvement mindset Strong facilitation and coaching abilities Integrity and confidentiality Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.

    3–5+ years of progressive experience in training, learning & development, or organizational development roles.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating adult learning programs.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, training evaluation methods, and learning management systems.
  • Experience researching and managing grants or external funding for training programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project-management skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
