**Traveling Field Service Engineer - Conveyor Systems**

**Location:** Central Midwest Region (Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Detroit, MI; Milwaukee, WI)
**Travel:** Extensive regional travel with occasional nationwide assignments

Honeywell Intelligrated is seeking a skilled **Field Service Engineer II** to deliver onsite technical expertise and ensure the performance of our advanced material handling and automation solutions.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to technical resource, solving complex issues, supporting successful system implementations, and keeping our customers’ operations running at peak efficiency.

This position involves **extensive travel throughout the Central Midwest region** , primarily covering major metropolitan areas.

The ideal candidate will reside within this region and within one hour of a major airport to support frequent travel requirements.

A company vehicle (rental car) is provided for business use.

+ **Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues:** Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems with industrial automation systems, including PLCs (Allen Bradley), HMIs, VFDs, conveyors, palletizers, and robotics.
+ **Onsite Technical Support:** Provide advanced support for Honeywell’s material handling systems to minimize downtime and maximize customer efficiency.
+ **Collaboration:** Partner with engineering, product management, and project teams to ensure smooth implementation of automation solutions.
+ **Customer Training & Mentorship:** Conduct training sessions for customers and mentor junior service engineers.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Stay current with industry advancements and recommend improvements to optimize system performance.
+ Other duties may be assigned per business needs.

**YOU MUST HAVE**

+ 5+ years of experience in field service engineering with a focus on complex industrial automation systems.
+ Advanced knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC5, SLC500, CompactLogix, ControlLogix), HMIs, and VFDs.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

**Compensation information**

The annual base salary range for this position is $71,200-89,000.

Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
