Overview

We are seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to assist with the TriCounty Overdose Prevention Program (TOPP).

This grant-funded program is focused on providing education, outreach, and training to Native Americans in the Uintah Basin area.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all outreach and training activities with key tribal partners and community members.

Applicants with strong ties to the Tribal community and experience working with Tribal populations are highly desired.

The Tribal Program Coordinator will also monitor the progress of program activities, develop and maintain records, and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports as required by the program administrators, the funding agency, and/or regulatory bodies.

The Program Coordinator must be located in the Vernal or Roosevelt, Utah area.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate outreach and training activities focused on overdose prevention for Tribal populations.
  • Develop and implement education programs tailored to high-risk groups, including creating materials such as videos, flyers, and social media posts.
  • Assist with the organization and administration of training events for Tribal community members and partners.
  • Collaborate with USU Extension and key partners to develop and host overdose prevention programs.
  • Plan and implement monthly educational events.
  • Attend all staff meetings and trainings.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of professional experience working in project coordination.
  • Knowledge of overdose prevention and harm reduction strategies.
  • Experience in providing education and training to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, community partners, and the public.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Applications, Google Drive, Gmail, Social Media).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with good follow-through.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.

    Advertised Salary

    $17.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
