Our clientis a global institutional investment firm seeing a creative, experienced, and bold UI/UX lead to help design web applications, both internal and external, for the firm’s Data Intelligence Group (DIG).

DIG handles all things data and is at the forefront of market, alternative, and data science.

Our goal of building competitive advantage through data, engineering, and insight, we help our investment teams monetize ideas and drive returns for our Investors while partnering with a global technology organization.

Some applications include internal data catalogs/marketplace, external-facing data evaluation tools, and data science / big data related interfaces.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to establish design process across the entire Data Intelligence Group.

You will be able to advise and champion a world-class design standard from the ground up.
We are seeking a candidate that has a modern, evolving, and bold design sensibility.

Someone who is willing to experiment frequently, leave behind the traditional standards which often characterize financial applications, and bring a consumer-oriented approach to UX and user engagement.

This isn’t a role for a mad scientist; this is a role for someone who thrives working in a firm that is looking to push the envelope.
Role Overview:
Create and own the roadmap for product design across the entire Data Intelligence Group
Build engaging, intuitive, and beautiful interfaces for applications and workflows owned by the Data Intelligence Group.
Collaborate in a fast-paced, user-oriented environment to understand, design, and deliver on business requirements.
Make strides in improving the usability and visual aesthetics of digital products used throughout the firm.
Anchor the product design practice within the Data Intelligence Group.
Qualifications & Requirements:
A strong portfolio of UI/UX design demonstrating delivery of visual design for mobile and desktop applications.
Extensive experience leading and executing the user interface design phases of product team’s development projects.
A degree in design, related field or employment equivalent.
Ability to establish and communicate best practices for UX design process and output across multiple applications and the organization.
Proficiency in wireframing tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Xd), Sketch, Balsamiq, etc.
Excellent communication skills and can clearly present ideas, designs, and expected delivery timings.
Ability to visually present an interface with clarity.
A great blend of design skills and technical background in web-enabled applications.
Ability to structure information and content within a UI in a way that meets business and end-user requirements.
Ability to create beautiful, cutting-edge, highly usable interfaces and reusable components for various applications.
Experience building, working within and maintaining a comprehensive design system.
Ability to work closely with stakeholders, product team and developers and balance multiple requirements into a fully integrated design.
