As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents.

Your role involves interacting with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility.

This is a driving position, so a valid driver's license is required.

**Position Type: Part Time**

**Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Wed06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Thur12:00 AM - 10:00 AM

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the manufacturing and industrial location.
+ Monitor access points, verify credentials, and grant entry to authorized personnel to help control site access.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and Allied Universal as needed.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
+ Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
+ Support emergency response activities as required by site-specific procedures.
+ Assist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.

**What We’re Looking For:**

+ Availability across various days and shifts
+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
+ Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate as required by the client.
+ Familiarity with computers or tablets is preferred.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
