Job description

Job Description

Responsible for driving a box truck, collection, delivery, and processing of solid waste and recyclables from all university and hospital buildings.

Provides prompt, efficient, reliable, service which meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Works independently or with students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements: One year experience in the operation or maintenance of heavy equipment, motorized vehicles or machinery that is directly related to the area of employment.

Some positions require a valid driver's license and/or commerical driver's license.

Physical Requirements: (Note: The following descriptions are applicable to this section: Continuous - 6-8 hours per shift; Frequent - 2-6 hours per shift; Infrequent - 0-2 hours per shift) Ability to perform job functions in an upright position.

Must be ambidextrous.

Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.

(Infrequent) Ability to be qualified physically (by medical personnel) for respirator use, initially and annually.

Ability to use hand/power tools.
