UNIV - Movement Disorders Neurologist - Department of Neurology Job Opening In Charleston – Now Hiring Medical University of South Carolina

Job Description

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a fellowship-trained Movement Disorders Neurologist to join the Movement Disorders Division of the Department of Neurology (rank commensurate with experience).

The successful candidate will have expertise in clinical evaluation of movement disorders, DBS electrophysiology, DBS programming.

The Movement Disorders Division is a vibrant program with a busy clinical practice, active research center, and much collaboration across campus.

Two Nurse Practitioners, a clinical Nurse coordinator, and three research coordinators support the MUSC Movement Disorders Program.

The Department of Neurology at MUSC is a rapidly growing academic program located in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina.

Charleston is one of the most historic cities in the southeastern United States and offers a wide variety of recreational activities including swimming, sailing, kayaking, fishing and golf.

There are numerous excellent restaurants, and the Spoleto Festival brings exceptional cultural events to the area every year.

(Infrequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.

(Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand.

(Frequent) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance.

(Frequent) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.

(Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities.

(Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
