is seeking a Unix/Linux Administrator (Senior-Level) to join our team in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

The Unix/Linux Administrator will provide services in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) at Fort Huachuca.
In this role, you will advise the government on industry best practices and strategic direction related to enterprise system design, implementation, optimization, and enhancement.
You will support the development of systems management processes and the integration of network and NetOps capabilities.
Additionally, you will assist in defining and designing system specifications and standards, analyzing system input/output processes, and evaluating hardware/software compatibility and interoperability to support mission-critical system capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:
+ Install, rebuild, configure, maintain, administer, and document UNIX and Linux systems, software, systems-related products, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
+ Conduct routine maintenance tasks on systems for proactive monitoring, such as space usage, deleting log files, dump files, and error-correcting.
+ Create, document, and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain, and patch system environments and software.
+ Develop, recommend, document, implement, and maintain system management policies, procedures, and standards.
+ Create, modify, delete, and document user accounts.
+ Complete and maintain DISA STIGsHave the desire and aptitude for learning and rapidly mastering new applications and technology.
+ Maintain daily operation and incident resolution of virtual machines, operating systems, and applications to provide optimum performance and system availability.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve system-related incidents detected during monitoring, by other technical teams, and by users.
+ Provide Tier 2 or 3 support in an enterprise-level, globally distributed environment.

+ IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant IT experience, or 7+ years of directly related experience in the Information Technology field without a degree.
+ Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of RHEL servers and workstations.
+ Experience in managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure a secure and efficient user environment.
+ Skilled in using shell scripting (bash, Perl, Python, etc.) to automate routine tasks and system maintenance.
+ Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware, including setup, configuration, and management of virtual environments.
+ Experience in deploying and managing storage solutions in RHEL environments.
+ Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery processes and technologies relevant to RHEL systems.
+ Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in RHEL environments, applying analytical skills to resolve hardware, software, and network problems
+ Familiarity with RHEL patching, updates, and configuration management.
+ Computing Environment Certification: RHCSA, Unix+, or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
Preferred:
+ Experience with enterprise technologies such as Forcepoint Firewall and TTCR/HSG, Rubrik backup solutions, Aruba Mobility Controller, VMware with vSAN, and security tools including PKI, DHUMA, THULE, and Splunk.
+ IAT Level III Certification equivalent per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.).
+ Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users.
+ Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
+ A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
+ Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
+ Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
