Overview:  

INTECON, LLC is seeking a skilled MAF Mission Planning System Analyst to provide operational and technical analysis of mission planning software systems in support of Air Mobility Command (AMC) Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Mission Planning Systems (MPS) Capability Drop-4 (CD-4).

This role will ensure mission planning requirements are technically feasible, testable, and integrated with system development, modernization, and interoperability goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct operational and technical analysis of MAF mission planning systems, including JMPS, JOMS, NOMS, and MAFPS.
• Evaluate proposed system changes, integration approaches, and modernization requirements to support mission planning capabilities.
• Provide technical recommendations on requirements definition, prioritization, and feasibility.
• Support agile software development by analyzing backlog items and advising on impact, scope, and integration with MAF systems.
• Review testing and fielding plans, ensuring operational needs and mission scenarios are addressed.
• Participate in working groups, program reviews, and technical interchange meetings to provide analytical input to requirements and system development planning.
• Develop and refine test metrics and acceptance criteria to validate system capabilities against documented requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between functional users, developers, and acquisition stakeholders to ensure requirements align with system architecture and operational goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or a related technical field.
• Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Operations Research is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in systems analysis, systems engineering, or technical evaluation of defense software systems.
• Direct experience with mission planning systems (JMPS, JOMS, NOMS, or MAFPS) and participation in development, testing, or fielding of complex DoD systems.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical analysis and recommendations in support of requirements development and system integration.

Must Have Experience With:

• Air Force or joint mission planning systems (JMPS, JOMS, NOMS, or equivalent).
• Conducting technical and operational feasibility studies.
• Supporting Agile software development processes.
• Reviewing and contributing to test and fielding plans for DoD systems.

Certifications and Training:

• Annual DoD Cyber Awareness training.
• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification strongly preferred.
• INCOSE Systems Engineering certification (CSEP) or similar is desirable.

Proficiency In:

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).
• Requirements and test management tools (JIRA, DOORS, Jama, or equivalent).
• Modeling and simulation tools for evaluating system performance.

Security Clearance:  Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
