Scope of Position:

This highly motivated individual, as part of the Tank Utility team, will be responsible for assisting with the building of vessels and assembled components used in the manufacturing process.

This position reports to the Fabrication supervisor, will be fully onsite and based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate small hand tools, wrenches, impact guns, torque wrenches, sanders and small grinders.
  • Builds parts according to instructions.
  • Pulls parts listed on the bill of material (BOM) and checks against blueprints and work orders.
  • Checks all tools and performs preventative maintenance.
  • Checks overhead crane to insure it is functioning properly.
  • Utilizes crane and/or forklift for material handling.
  • Attending regular safety meetings and training.
  • Inspects parts produced to ensure quality standards are followed.
  • Organizes and cleans work area.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Fabrication supervisor or Company management.
  • Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency).

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with an aptitude and ability in understanding the basics of mechanical or electrical repair.  
  • Requires a current forklift license.
  • Aptitude to read blueprints.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment

Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility.

You will be required to work at the Company’s Fort Worth location.

Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 11-25 pounds.
  • Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
