**Description**

SAIC is looking to grow our team of IT experts in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) while delivering high quality IT services to our customers on NITES.

We are seeking highly qualified and experienced individuals with a passion to learn and dedication to providing reliable services in support of the NORAD and NORTHCOM mission.

You will need to be self-motivated, creative and be able to work autonomously and within a team in an on-site environment.

Daily duties will include operating and maintaining a robust network of virtual machines and the servers that host them to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables.

You must be an effective communicator, comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues.

You must also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges.

**Qualifications**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ BS with 9 years’ experience.

Additional experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
+ SECRET with TS/SCI capable
+ VMware vSphere ESXi 6.X or higher
+ VMware Horizon 6.X or higher
+ Knowledge using physical and virtual servers
+ Knowldge of Network area storage platforms and configuration
+ Linux
+ Windows 2016, 2019, 2025 Server
+ Windows 10, 11 Workstation
+ Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification (Security+ce or equivalent)
+ Demonstrated proficiency in managing and troubleshooting VMware vSphere infrastructure
+ Experience managing persistent and non-persistent Virtual machines.

Image creation and deployment
+ Experience with VMware technologies such as ESXi, vCenter Server, vSAN, Horizon and vSphere Networking
+ Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, practices, and procedures

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Current Top Secret/SCI clearance
+ VMware Certified Professional
+ (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
+ ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
+ Prior work with VMware Horizon for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
+ Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or PowerCLI for automation tasks.
+ Prior work and/or experience with Military commands and comprehension of its mission and IT environment.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
