VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our growing ER / ICU care team full time! Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, and Experienced Veterinary assistants welcome to apply.

ER / ICU Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:

  • Anesthesia procedural monitoring
  • Full Technician Skill Utilization
  • Collecting patient histories & physical exams
  • Medication refills, and Pet parent communication
  • Proficient in medical calculations
  • Venipuncture / IVC placement
  • Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
  • Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
  • Providing compassionate care for all patients
  • Potential Schedule: Full-time (4) 10's, including 1 weekday.

    (9a/10a - 7p/8p)

    Compensation: $ 21 - 28 / hour dependent on experience, skill set, and licensure status (CVT, VTS, CVPM)

We support full technician skill utilization and are dedicated to provide gold standard medicine and exceptional patient care.

    Our outstanding medicine is supported by a VTS in (ECC), and a VTS in (SAIM) and we continue to support a hospital culture of growth and development for all levels of technician.
