Overview
The Creative Video Producer is responsible for the end-to-end management, production, and delivery of video content that transforms complex research into clear, engaging, and impactful visual stories.
This role demands both creative vision and strong project management skills, fostering close collaboration among the Research & Policy Center (RPC), Creative Exchange, and Marketing stakeholders.
The Creative Video Producer ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, aligned with brand standards, and supportive of RPC’s long-term strategic goals.
Base pay range
$35.00/hr - $50.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Draft briefs, develop concepts, and coordinate scripts and storyboards.
- Create and manage project schedules, timelines, budgets, and logistics.
- Collaborate with Creative Exchange for creative resources, production tools, and design support.
- Ensure video concepts reflect RPC marketing priorities and align with research agenda.
- Direct and coordinate filming with Creative Exchange and external vendors.
- Manage logistics, oversee talent, and ensure quality, timeliness, and brand consistency.
- Supervise vendor relationships and contracts as needed.
- Adapt production approach based on messaging priorities identified by stakeholders.
- Lead the editing process, conduct reviews, and integrate stakeholder feedback.
- Partner with editors, motion designers, and graphic artists on the Creative Exchange team.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, quality control, and research alignment before final delivery.
- Serve as the main point of contact between RPC, Creative Exchange, and Marketing.
- Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and delivery approvals.
- Manage communication with vendors and escalate strategic issues to leadership as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Content Development, Media Production, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in video production, with a focus on creative storytelling and project management.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other professional video tools.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted video production tools and a willingness to integrate emerging technologies into workflows.
- Proven ability to distill complex, research-driven content into compelling narratives.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a global or cross-functional environment preferred.
