This position requires deep expertise in VoIP technologies, network infrastructure, and telecommunications protocols.
The engineer will ensures the efficiency, scalability, and security of VoIP services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align communication systems with organization objectives.</span></p><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</span></strong></p><ul><li><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">VoIP System Design:</span></strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif"> Develop and implement VoIP architectures tailored to the organization's communication needs, emphasizing scalability, reliability, and security.</span></p></li><li><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">System Deployment & Configuration:</span></strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif"> Deploy, configure, and integrate VoIP systems, including hardware (Cisco UCS), software (Call Manager, Unity Connection, IM& Presence, UCCE, Attendant Console, VMWare and associated technologies), and network components(Cisco CUBE’s, router, and switches), ensuring seamless operation within existing infrastructure.</span></p></li><li><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Optimization & Maintenance:</span></strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif"> Configure and optimize VoIP platforms for performance and cost-efficiency.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability and quality standards.
Familiarity with tools such as RTMT and Wireshark is a plus.</span></p></li><li><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Security Management:</span></strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif"> Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect VoIP systems from unauthorized access, fraud, and cyber threats.</span></p></li><li><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Vendor Evaluation & Management:</span></strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif"> Assess and select vendors for VoIP solutions, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships.
Stay updated on industry trends to make informed decisions.
Manage SIP trunks and oversee VOIP circuit provisioning.</span></p></li><li><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Documentation & Training:</span></strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif"> Develop detailed documentation on system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
Conduct training sessions to ensure staff are proficient in system usage and maintenance.</span></p></li><li><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Collaboration & Communication:</span></strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif"> Work closely with IT teams, network engineers, and business units to understand requirements and ensure VoIP solutions align with organizational goals.
Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.</span></p></li></ul><p><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Education and Experience:</span></strong></p><ul><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Minimum of 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting VoIP systems in enterprise environments.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Strong expertise in VoIP protocols (e.g., SIP, RTP, SRTP), codecs, QOS, and signaling standards.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and network security principles.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Proficiency with VoIP platforms, such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise, and WebEx.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration, and WebEx badges) are preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for maintenance and emergency tasks.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training, or onsite support.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif">Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.</span></p></li></ul><p> </p>
