Water Treatment Project Manager (Data Center) 

 Location: Remote (50-70% Travel)

A Water treatment Project Manager practicing in the Data Center Industry will be responsible for supporting fleet level initiatives across the U.S. The Project Manager will solve customer water treatment concerns, perform extensive water treatment lab work, and troubleshoot water treatment and control equipment across a fleet of data centers.

Best place to live is in a city in the Central time zone, such as Dallas, Texas.

The compensation package includes a salary and yearly bonus commensurate with experience and generated results.

Position Overview:

Garratt-Callahan is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and execute water treatment projects specifically for data center clients.

This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex projects from initiation to close-out.

The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment with significant travel and remote work.

You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to providing innovative and reliable water treatment solutions to the rapidly growing data center industry.

High-Level Job Responsibilities:

  • Solve customers' water problems.
  • Treat industrial cooling towers to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
  • Perform detailed water testing & analyses.
  • Help deliver on customer KPIs and promote Garratt-Callahan solutions including proprietary chemical blends, equipment, & monitoring technology.
  • Keep our existing customers happy and safe.
  • Position Responsibilities:

    Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, including sales, engineering, and clients.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Establish clear communication channels and reporting structures.
  • Project Execution and Monitoring:

  • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Oversee the execution of project tasks according to the project plan.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage project budgets and track expenses.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings and presentations.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure project deliverables meet their requirements.
  • Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Track project costs, analyze variances, and implement cost control measures.

  • Ensure formal project closure, including final documentation, lessons learned, and client sign-off.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the specific water treatment needs and challenges of data center facilities (e.g., cooling water, process water, wastewater).
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure project designs meet the unique requirements of data center applications.
