Job Title: Full-Stack Web Application Developer
Location: Pearl River, NY (Hybrid; occasional onsite meetings)
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Compensation: $33-43/hour (Depending on qualifications)

Overview
Vaccines R&D team is seeking a contract full-stack web application developer to support scientific research initiatives in viral and bacterial vaccine programs.
This role will focus on building and maintaining web applications, integrating AI/ML tools, and supporting large-scale data science efforts.
The position offers exposure to cutting-edge research and the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using the Django framework
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
Implement application features, enhancements, and bug fixes in a timely manner
Apply industry best practices and coding standards
Integrate AI/ML components into web applications
Collaborate with scientists and data teams to translate research needs into functional applications
Participate in project meetings, present updates, and gather feedback for continuous improvement
Qualifications
Required:
2+ years of experience with Django framework
Strong Python programming skills
Experience with SQL and MongoDB
Proficiency in front-end development (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Ajax)
Understanding of AI/ML workflows and concepts
Basic knowledge of biological molecules (DNA, RNA, proteins)
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and task planning
Effective communication skills
Preferred:
Portfolio or working example of Django-based web applications
Experience in bioinformatics and data analysis
Strong data visualization skills
Prior hands-on experience with AI/ML integration
