Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Web Strategist II uses specialized technical and web-centered digital marketing knowledge to manage or support college-level websites.
Works under moderate supervision.
Additional Department Summary: Works to ensure divisional digital content meets accessibility standards under Title II and WCAG guidelines.
Supports the creation, review, and optimization of digital content across platforms including websites, social media, newsletters, PDFs, and other digital tools.
Serves as a key liaison between communications, technology, and accessibility teams to comply with federal and state guidelines and University standards.
Completes required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of web content management experience; OR master's degree and some web content management experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to create accessible PDFs. Familiarity with WCAG, ADA, Section 504, screen readers, and assistive technologies.
Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), social media platforms, and accessibility tools (e.g., screen readers, color contrast checkers).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Demonstrates commitment to supporting all students.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Accessibility, or related field.
Two (2) or more years of experience in digital content creation and/or accessibility compliance.
Experience in higher education or public sector communications.
Knowledge of tools like DocuSign.
Certification in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS).
