What You’ll Do:
Develop and maintain welding programs and certifications (AWS, ASME,
Provide on-the-floor technical support to welders and engineers
Collaborate with NDT and Materials Lab teams on inspection and qualification efforts
Author and execute welding and additive manufacturing procedures for new and repair work
Interpret and implement industry and customer welding specifications
Perform failure analysis, recommend corrective actions, and ensure process sustainability
Lead R&D projects for process improvement and new product development
Provide supplier qualification, technical oversight, and represent company in industry groups
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Weld Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science preferred
1–3 years of experience in weld engineering or additive manufacturing R&D
Experience managing certified welding programs and working with industry codes
Intermediate understanding of physical metallurgy and heat treatment
Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on, shop-floor approach
Excellent communication skills and ability to train and coach others
Familiarity with failure analysis, NDE methods, and mechanical testing
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to welding automation and robotics
Experience with additive technologies (., Direct Energy Deposition, Friction Stir, Electron Beam)
AWS Certified Weld Inspector certification a plus
