Alumni Events-Student Assistant Job Opening In Fort Myers – Now Hiring University of The Incarnate Word

Position Details

Position Information Position Title Alumni Events-Student Assistant Academic Year 2025-2026 UIW Mission University of the Incarnate Word is a Catholic institution that welcomes to its community persons of diverse backgrounds, in the belief that their respectful interaction advances the discovery of truth, mutual understanding, self-realization, and the common good.

Position Summary The Alumnie Events- Student Assistant assists and supports the Alumni Events team through event, hospitality, and donor experience support.

The Student Assistant reports to the Director of Alumni Relations.

This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with the preparation for various special events throughout the year (set up and break down tables/chairs, tents, stock coolers, etc.).

  • Provide excellent customer service to alumni and friends of the university at the events

  • Support fundraising and donor stewardship initiatives (stuffing mailers, phone calls, checking in guest at events).

  • Directly aid the Director of Alumni Relations and staff with all duties as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet.

  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
  • Required Education Current UIW student with a 2.5 GPA (or higher).

    Preferred Qualifications Interest in event planning, hospitality, or marketing.

    Work Hours
  • Monday – Friday up to 20 hours per week.

  • Position involves and requires weekend and after-hours availability.
  • Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
