Description
The Department of Management at Missouri State University seeks to fill a position at either the Clinical Assistant/Assistant/Associate level starting in August 2024.
Primary Job Duties.
Clinical Assistant (non-tenure-track): Teach 12 hours per semester (four courses) and engage in activities to maintain a determined faculty qualification status supporting AACSB accreditation.
Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track): Teach 9 hours per semester (three courses) and publish in discipline-appropriate peer-reviewed journals to maintain SA status, for AACSB accreditation.
In either track, the successful candidate(s) will mainly teach entertainment-sport management courses. (Secondary teaching assignments in management-related classes may be at the undergraduate or graduate level). They will advise the Entertainment Management Association, one of the College's signature student organizations, serve on the Entertainment Management (Alumni) Advisory Council, and meet university service requirements. All candidates must be committed to working for the professional success of students from all backgrounds.
Qualifications.
Clinical Assistant (non-tenure-track)
a doctorate in entertainment-sport management, management, business administration, or a closely related field, a master's degree in business and 6+ years of significant experience in the entertainment-sport industry or a closely related field Assistant/Associate (tenure-track)
a Ph.D. in entertainment-sport management, or a Ph.D. in business administration from an AACSB-accredited institution with an emphasis on entertainment-sport management or a related field. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to publish in discipline-specific peer-reviewed journals.
