| Job Description | The Department of Computer Science at Hope College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in Fall 2026. Outstanding candidates at higher ranks will also be considered. We welcome applicants from all areas of computer science, with preference for those whose interests broaden and complement the department’s strengths. Hope’s Computer Science department is a vibrant, collegial community of teacher-scholars committed to undergraduate education and inclusive excellence. Our small class sizes are taught exclusively by dedicated faculty, allowing for personal attention and mentorship. Students and faculty work together on research and software development projects, and build strong relationships in and out of the classroom. Teaching responsibilities include:

The College enrolls 3,200 students and is known for high-impact teaching, student-faculty scholarship, and a close-knit campus community. The college is well-equipped and situated in a region that combines the charm of a small town with proximity to urban centers like Grand Rapids and Chicago.
