Corbin, KY 40701 USA Description Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is in Corbin, Kentucky and is spread between McCreary County and WhitleyCounty with the Cumberland River running through it. The big attraction here is the Cumberland Falls. It isalso known as the Niagara of the South. Many visitors come to view the majestic falls and the magical Moonbowthat is visible each month. This park is surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest and became part of theState system in 1931. The Cook II Position at Cumberland Falls Resort State Park will play a major role in coordinating andperforming the cooking and cleaning within the restaurant kitchen. The Cook II may also assist with foodordering, inventory, menu ideas and quality control. This individual must be an energetic, positive personwith the ability to communicate in person, via email or by phone. Cumberland Falls’ main objective for theCook II’s experience is to serve as a lead worker within our kitchen team.
The ideal candidate will:
Be courteous and professional at all times, while displaying a professional image through appearance anddress. Work well as a team leader and a team player. Be friendly when coming in contact with our guests. Be knowledgeable of the park and all park facilities. Be able to answer guest questions about the park and surrounding areas. Help the guests feel safe and comfortable in any accommodation or facility. Be available to work weekends, mornings, and evenings. Job duties include but are not limited to: Plans, prepares, and coordinates daily cooking and kitchen clean up and sanitation duties in a park. Batch cooks food. Ensures proper food safety policies are adhered to. Line cooks for immediate service. Provides excellent guest services. Assists with the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment. Required to use hand tools and lift items in excess of 20 pounds. Other duties as assigned. *This position is eligible for an approved Sign-on bonus in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(6).

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational training in food services will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
