Job description

Essential Functions

  • Program Coordination & Administration: Manage the statewide COPE program, including planning, scheduling, logistics, grant compliance, outcome tracking, and reporting.

    Ensure program activities align with Childrens Nebraskas goals and funder expectations.
  • Provider & Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with pediatric providers, community partners, and behavioral health professionals to strengthen the continuum of care and promote collaboration across the state.
  • Suicide Prevention Integration: Support the implementation of the Zero Suicide framework by incorporating suicide prevention strategies into provider education, outreach initiatives, and organizational practices.
  • Education & Training Delivery: Develop, coordinate, and deliver educational sessions, trainings, and outreach materials for pediatric primary care providers focused on pediatric mental health care, early identification, treatment strategies, and suicide prevention.
  • Strategic Planning & Representation: Participate in strategic planning, quality improvement efforts, and represent Childrens Nebraska at statewide meetings, conferences, and community forums related to pediatric behavioral health and suicide prevention.

  • Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Nursing, Public Health, Psychology, or related field Required and
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, or related field Preferred
  • Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years in behavioral health, healthcare education, public health, or program coordination required.

    Required and
  •  working in pediatric or primary care settings Preferred
  •  with training/education program development and delivery Preferred
  • Skills and Abilities

  • understanding of pediatric behavioral health and primary care environments (High proficiency)
  • communication, presentation, and facilitation skills for diverse provider audiences (High proficiency)
  • ability to develop collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders (High proficiency)
  • skilled in program development, evaluation, and grant compliance (Medium proficiency)
  • knowledge of suicide prevention best practices and the Zero Suicide framework (Medium proficiency)
  • organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines (Medium proficiency)
