Job Description
Architectural Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the Architecture Group, providing expertise on long-term database technology options.
Assess and recommend different database technologies.
Contribute to the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
Review database performance optimization strategies.
Support the Performance team in investigations related to database performance.
Drive distributed caching of data for improved system efficiency.
Support resilience, disaster recovery, and cloud strategies from a database technology perspective.
Collaborate with other architects within the group.
Organizational Collaboration:
Represent the database perspective as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) for the RUN application.
Actively participate in strategic discussions related to the overall direction of the application.
Coordinate partnerships with external database stakeholders liked OneData, WWSM, etc.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have served as SQL Server DBA for at least 20 years with around 6 years of experience in Azure/AWS. He is fully aware of the inner workings of the SQL Server database. He would have worked on administering SQL Server and Mongo DB. Demonstrates deep understanding of both relational and non-relational databases. Lead database engineering projects by collaborating with infrastructure teams. Architects and designs data/database solutions based on the overall system design and understanding of system component interactions.
