As such, we are investing in the expansion of our Program Management Global Business Line (GBL) to provide the capability and expertise required to realize this vision. AECOM’s Program Advisory service (PgMA) is led from the Program Management GBL with delivery capability sitting within AECOM’s 7 Regional Businesses. The GBL provides the knowledge, the tools and methodologies and also provides subject matter expertise in the shape of experienced Program Directors, Program Controls Directors, Systems and Tools deployment capability and other experienced program management resources. The Regional Businesses generally provide the resources to deliver for our program management clients and future clients.
The Director Global Program Advisory’s role is to shape and deliver AECOM’s Global Program Advisory services with a particular focus on our program management clients and pursuits in the US and Canada (although the role is a global one), working alongside our network of Program Advisory resources within the regions to lead critical Program Advisory engagements and to embed our AECOM way of Program Advisory and Program Management (PgM). There will also be a role in developing our Program Advisory tools and methodologies but the balance of client: internal effort is estimated to be 70:30%.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Support Program Management and Program Advisory engagements, providing direction and coaching for delivery teams
- Lead client facing PgMA discussions where appropriate, in consultation with Regional Businesses
- Work collaboratively with PgM Regional Business Line Leaders and Regional Program Controls Directors to assess program management opportunities, providing Program Advisory input where required
- Provide PgMA support to bid teams for major pursuits
- Lead the development of PgMA tools and service offerings
- Develop the community of Program Advisory practitioners and embed core consulting skills and Program Advisory methodology
- Contribute PgMA lessons learned and best practice to the PgM knowledge base
Minimum Requirements- BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
- Business transformation and change management experience gained in a management consultancy
- Experience in a combination of infrastructure, engineering and management consultancy delivery on major programs of state or national significance
- Expertise in leading client conversations and engagements
- Experience in developing sales/proposal materials in response to client requests for services
- Expert level knowledge practitioner of consultancy tools – both individual core skills and major program methodologies including Target Operating Model and Maturity Assessments
- Expertise in applying consultancy tools and techniques to different sectors and clients
- Expertise in producing documents and other material that tell compelling stories and can convey complex messages simply
Preferred Qualifications- Excellent formal and personal communication skills and able to demonstrate a high degree of cognitive and emotional empathy in dealing with colleagues and clients
- Skilled relationship manager, capable of navigating complex internal structures
Additional information- Ability to travel up to 20% within the US and globally
