In this role, you will oversee various aspects, including establishing and upholding a safe and healthy manufacturing and office environment. Your responsibilities will entail implementing programs to monitor and mitigate health, safety, and environmental risks within our facility. This pivotal position reports directly to our Plant Engineering Manager.ResponsibilitiesOversee the Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Program at the SkyMine Plant, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Focus on preventing workplace injuries and illnesses for employees, contractors, and site visitors, in addition to environmental compliance.Coordinate with the Legal Department to develop and modify EHS policies and update the Safety Manual.Complete permit applications, regulatory reports, and other required filings.Assist in maintaining Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures, conduct audits, and perform job hazard analyses.Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.Lead the Emergency Response Team, planning and delivering EHS education and training programs.Conduct accident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective action strategies.Prioritize tasks efficiently and demonstrate end-to-end follow-through.Collaborate effectively with managers, operators, maintenance technicians, HR staff, attorneys, and executives.Manage documents effectively, with experience in the iScout tracking/reporting system as a plus.QualificationsBS degree or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Environmental, Health, and Safety position, preferably in chemical manufacturing, petrochemical production, petroleum refining, or related industries.In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, with experience in Hazardous Material Regulations and Federal Railroad Regulations preferred.
