We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join our team as a Contract General Counsel. This is a remote position open to candidates licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, including recent law school graduates.Responsibilities:- Provide legal support and guidance to the organization on various legal matters, including contract review, drafting, and negotiation- Assist in ensuring the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards set by the Texas Bar- Conduct legal research and analysis as needed- Collaborate with different departments to provide legal advice and support- Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures- Maintain organized records of legal documents and correspondence- Support senior legal staff in managing outside counsel and legal matters as needed- Stay current with changes in relevant laws and regulationsRequirements:- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar- Strong academic record and excellent research and writing skills- Familiarity with contract law and general corporate legal matters- Ability to analyze legal issues and provide clear, concise recommendations- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment- Strong commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards- Proficient in using legal research tools and databasesWe offer competitive compensation, a supportive work environment, and the opportunity to gain valuable experience working remotely as part of our legal team.
