Job Overview: Implementation Engineer
The Implementation Engineer is responsible for a variety of roles from Professional Services including technical implementation, application/business rules configuration, training and documentation as a sole contributor or part of a larger team of the proposed solution. This person will manage our customers through a proven, structured methodology where the solution will be deployed, knowledge transferred, best practices adhered to and go-live completed. These projects are typically multiple short stints either on-site or remote and provide a very dynamic work environment that does not require repeated travel on a weekly basis.
To ensure the clients' and Company's needs are met, the Implementation Engineer will regularly liaise with other members of the Professional Service team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as Product Management, Engineering, Development, Professional Services, Sales and Senior Management.
Responsibilities:
Lead scope definition, requirements analysis, and technical design within project budget. Deploy and maintain high-availability solutions using AWS and/or On-Premise. Manage technical proposal processes, ensuring accurate recommendations for clients. Cultivate strong client relationships, providing strategic advice on solutions. Gather system requirements and implement changes aligning with best practices. Execute installations, configurations, and system testing to ensure client satisfaction. Collaborate closely with project teams, ensuring successful project completion within scope and budget constraints Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in a technology-driven role. Strong technical acumen and adaptability to new technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. Customer service-facing experience is a 'must.' Proficiency in JavaScript, .NET, REST, JSON, XSLT, SOAP, WSDL. Database administration/query skills in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. Familiarity with ERP, PLM, CRM, WMS, or MES systems. Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues. Knowledge of Web Services, Service-Oriented Architecture, and AWS (a plus). Ability to understand and address client needs creatively. Travel requirement: 25%-50% Soft Skills:
