Prequalification auditor
Perform analysis of compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements for contractors and apply adjustments required by the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors within established time limits. Investigate discrepancies found in the Contractor's Statement of Experience and Financial Condition (CR-1) based upon information found in separately prepared financial statements or notes to those financial statements. Consult with applicant or applicant's CPA on a one-on-one basis on matters directly associated with filing of CR-1. Answer questions regarding technical financial information from Certified Public Accountants and CPA firms about GAAP rules and state rules governing prequalification. Prepare prequalification worksheet, which calculates the maximum balance upon which prequalification ratings are based. Determine acceptability of renewal applications and process associated worksheets. We need this person to assist the current Prequalification Auditor during the months of April through October. We need an audit temp who needs to be familiar with GAAP accounting standards and have experience working with corporate balance sheets. Construction company comptroller or accountant experience is ideal but not required.
