Role: IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Purpose
As a Senior Program Manager for IT Infrastructure and Networks, your responsibilities would include overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT projects related to infrastructure and networking. This will involve managing teams of engineers, architects, and technicians (multiple vendors) to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. You would also be responsible for identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating project progress to stakeholders. Additionally, you will help in evaluating and implementing more advanced technology standards to improve network performance and infrastructure efficiency. Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills would be essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
• Lead the implementation of the new network and further site cut-overs for multiple locations:
o Prepare detailed project plans and manage the dependencies between different projects. Ensure the delivery according to the plan and budget.
o Make sure that all projects follow the project governance standards and quality checks.
o Coordinate discovery actions required for the implementation of the new network.
o Coordinate multiple vendors involved in the implementation. Manage delivery according to the SOWs.
o Define gaps and risks, create contingency plans.
o Effectively communicate the project status to the stakeholders.
o Drive the projects to the successful completion.
• Improve communication and collaboration throughout the organization allowing technology and systems to be facilitators of collaboration.
• Where appropriate, participate in negotiate or re-negotiate contracts with vendors and professional services providers.
• Develop, secure stakeholder buy-in, and implement an end user computing vision as embarks on a digital transformation.
• If required, be ready to travel on site
Qualifications and Skills
• Experience in large multinational teams distributed globally
• Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall to effectively plan, execute, and monitor IT infrastructure and network projects.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, technicians, and other stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.
• Proven experience in leading large, complex and or transformational initiatives in dynamic environments and taking advantage of digital opportunities to innovate business models and enable the digitalization of the business.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as servers, storage, networking devices, and cloud services, as well as knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and to facilitate collaboration and coordination among team members.
• Risk Management: Experience in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful delivery.
• Budgeting and Resource Management: Ability to effectively allocate resources, manage project budgets, and make strategic decisions to optimize project outcomes.
• Vendor Management: Experience in selecting and managing third-party vendors and service providers to support project implementation and delivery.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and make informed decisions in dynamic project environments.
