This position is located in the Institute of Education Sciences, National Library of Education (NLE), in Washington, DC. The NLE is responsible for providing information resources and services for the understanding and improvement of education research through the collection, dissemination, and exchange of information to Department officials and the public.

As a Librarian, GS-1410-09, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the National Library of Education's (NLE) head librarian with planning including the review of NLE policies, standards, and procedures concerning all aspects of library operations.
Supporting the Head Librarian with one or more of the following library service functions: 1 Reference and Research, 2 Collection Development and Management, 3 Marketing and Outreach; and 4 Technical Services.
Supporting the Head Librarian with contract management to include market research on library products, vendors and acquisition activities through the Department's Contracts and Acquisition Management (CAM) and the Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK).
As a Librarian, GS-1410-11, you will be responsible for:
Assisting the Head Librarian with library planning including the review and improvement of library systems, electronic systems for cataloging, searching, circulation, and systems for efficient delivery of content through digital media.
Assisting the Head Librarian with minimal guidance performing one or more of the following library service functions: Reference and Research, Collection Development and Management, Marketing and Outreach; and Technical Services.
Assisting a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or Alternate Contracting Officer's Representative (ACOR) with monitoring the day to day execution of complex contracts supporting the NLE and/or related programs.
