Responsibilities:Analyzes existing utilization of labor, manufacturing and material handling equipment, workflow, and space, and makes recommendations to improve manufacturing quality and efficiency.Develops manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to ensure resources are utilized efficiently.Develops manufacturing processes for new products by studying product requirements, researching, and designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Analyzes product specification according to manufacturing guidelines to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished products.Support the design and requisition of tooling and equipment material for processes.Coordinate validation testing of product and system to design requirements.Develop and/or edit PLC programs.Review/update PFMEA and process control plans.QualificationsBachelor's degree in either Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering5-7 years in automotive manufacturing environmentExperience with MTM or other motion studies.Experience with PLC equipment and programmingExposure to Lean Manufacturing principles and practices preferred.Proficiency in engineering design automation software (CAD, CATIA, NX etc.)
