Description:
The Material Handler/Depack provides specialized hazard determination and consolidation of chemical waste materials. This role works almost exclusively outdoors in the elements and is responsible for testing, consolidation, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, & safety regulations. This role is tasked with regularly sampling waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures. The Material Handler/Depack maintains a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing or potential problems. They regularly operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness. Other duties as assigned.
