Job Description for a Practice Medical Director and Primary Care Physician with a Focus on Value-Based Care
Responsibilities:
Oversee the clinical operations of the primary care clinic, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective care delivery.
Lead and mentor a team of primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Develop and implement value-based care initiatives, focusing on quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide coordinated care that addresses patients' physical, mental, behavioral, and social needs.
Engage in continuous quality improvement efforts, analyzing data and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or DO) from an accredited institution.
Valid state medical license to practice as a Primary Care Physician.
Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty.
Completion of postgraduate training in primary care, such as a residency program.
Significant experience in primary care, including leadership roles and experience in value-based care.
Skills:
Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based healthcare environment.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and other healthcare IT systems.
Experience in data analysis and quality improvement initiatives.
Work Environment:
