Essential Functions: Process Specialist requires technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork. Major duties include but are not limited to:Working to organize and lead efforts in the Tube Mill in ensuring quality standards are met, troubleshooting quality issues, transitioning new products and new production equipment, troubleshooting manufacturing and process problems, identifying solutions with data-based decision making, and identifying and implementing new and improved methods of manufacturing to improve profitability. Maintaining, sustaining, and improving the mill’s automotive quality system certifications. General duties for the Process Specialist include but are not limited to:APQP, including customer print review of new programs, prototypes, and production; gauging calibration and GR&R, developing PFMEA, flow charts, and control plans; creating and submitting PPAP documentation, and submitting PSW documentationInvestigating customer complaints by utilizing the 8D response and root cause analysis; hiring third party inspection for containment/sort activities; initiating containment activities internally; reporting PPM results to sale; and reviewing customer returns and dispositionMill support, including designing drawbench and swage tooling; ordering tooling for driveshaft flowpath; responding to and troubleshooting quality issues; auditing floor issues; training production and salary personnel, and monitoring process flowProviding customer support by creating and sending customer-requested reports; handling new products/revisions – PPAP/PSW; responding to engineering requests; and initiating ECR (engineering change requests)Driving continuous improvement in the Tube Mill by utilizing statistical analysis and DOE; performing data analysis in collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, and Technical groups; and developing and updating work instructions and procedures Basic Qualifications:Experience with Quality Systems in ManufacturingA minimum of 3 years of demonstrated leadership, organizational, communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skillsEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
