Job Title - Procurement Manager Location - Santa Clara, CA Scope of Job:As a Procurement Manager, you will work proactively to ensure projects are executed on time and on/under budget, ensuring safety and quality, build relationships with vendors, and gather quality RFPs.In this role you will lead the Procurement efforts for solar module, inverter, racking systems, BOS, battery storage, labor for construction. Responsibilities:Responsible for all procurement activities associated with purchasing equipment and subcontractors in support of assigned projects and in alignment with the company policies. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the procurement of materials and/or services.Review, compare and evaluate supplier proposals with historical and market pricing to determine cost-competitive pricing and identify opportunities for cost savingsLead commercial negotiations for Supply Agreements/ RFI, etc., project specific orders, change orders, with key suppliers in accordance with company policies and guidelines.Provide insight and forecasting of material and logistic prices for use in future project estimates Manage the procurement of engineered equipment and materials in accordance with the project requirements Act as the main point of contact to suppliers in the sourcing process and effectively work with Development, Valuation and Analytics, Project Finance, Asset Management, Legal and Implementation, as necessary.Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, construction management, economics or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and a minimum of 3 years of work experience. A graduate degree is preferred.At least 2-3 years’ experience in project management, supply chain and/or construction projects in energy industry US power finance, trading, origination experience preferred.Solar or storage development or procurement experience is preferred.Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Requires working knowledge of the power and renewable energy market dynamics Preference for wind, solar and battery experience in US competitive wholesale electricity markets as well as vertically integrated marketsRequires the ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and trends influencing the continued adoption of renewable energy and clean energy transition
