The Product Engineer, reporting to the Director of Engineering, is tasked with the development and maintenance of competitive and innovative gas products to meet customer requirements and engineering milestones. The role involves a broad scope of engineering activities with a foundation in mechanical and gas engineering, encompassing natural gas (NG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The Gas Product Engineer will be engaged in various phases of product development, from independent studies and concept formulation to analysis, prototyping, testing, transition to production, and sustaining engineering. Key Responsibilities:Utilize Solidworks to create 3D solid models and detailed 2D drawings from concept through detailed design, considering factors such as metal materials, design reviews, manufacturability, cost, regulatory standards, schedule, and lean manufacturing principles.Conduct testing of current and future products in an ODS (Outdoor Simulation) room to ensure compliance with safety standards, including familiarity with various Z21 standards such as Z21.11.2 and Z21.60. This involves operating gas meters, gas analyzers, measuring combustion products, calculating gas values, and determining air free numbers.Generate Bill of Materials (BOM), Assembly Instructions, Test Reports, Design Review Presentations, Request for Quotes (RFQs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and other relevant documentation.Requirements:Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering development of gas products.Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)SolidWorks
