The Program Consultant is responsible for the daily operation of Body Venture, a traveling health exhibit which is owned and operated by Child Nutrition & Wellness (CNW), Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) when assigned. Body Venture visits approximately 90 schools per year with 25,000 students participating.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Six months of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Skills and/or Qualifications:
Associate’s, or higher, degree with major course work in family and consumer sciences, dietetics, foods, child development or a related field, and one year of professional-level work experience in a consultative position with a child care facility or food program, or a similar position; Abilities and skills are needed to analyze complex data and situations, make decisions, solve problems, speak and write clearly and concisely, communicate effectively with individuals and groups, develop and make presentations, plan and organize work assignments, set and prioritize goals, practice efficient self-management techniques, work effectively in a team environment and with all levels of employees in an organization, build positive working relationships; and Abilities and skills with Microsoft Office Suite and similar software. Preferred Experience:
Two years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization.
Necessary Special Qualifications, Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations:
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a 2-ton vehicle.
